Happy New Year, everyone!
As I mentioned at the beginning of 2009, I love the new year. When you're like me, and often fuelled by a kernel of mild self-loathing, the new year brings the opportunity to start afresh. Well, at least the opportunity to intend to start afresh, which will do just as well.
I just had a quick look at the resolutions I made last year. Hmmm. Let's pretend I didn't, because now it's 2010 and I can start afresh.
So, this year, I plan to write more, scatter kindness, laugh more, cry less, work harder, be a better friend, hoover upstairs occasionally, save some money, watch less telly, read more, lose two stone (of course), worry less, party more (children's parties at Krazy Kidz do not count, though if they did, I would surely be classed as a Party Animal), apologise less, dance more and spend less money on cosmetic and toiletries I use once in the hope of a miracle, then put in a basket in the bedroom never to be seen again.
That should do. For now.
Oh, and of course, enjoy everything our lovely county has to offer. (Maybe not everything; I don't think I'll ever read Jodie Marsh's autobiography.)

I think I've counted 16 things for you to do in your New Years resolutions! Isn't that pushing the boat a bit too far? Try being kinder to yourself....cut that list down to two things...watch less telly (it's brain numbing!) and worry less (then you'll be happier.)
Happy New Year Essex girl.
By the way, I'm going to stop "googling" the esoteric terms you keep using. Being disappointed by "cagoule" was bad enough....but making me look up Jodie Marsh, ugh!
Ha ha! You poor thing. I feel devastated that I have led you to your first encounter with Miss Marsh. Next time I write anything that may lead to a disappointing or disturbing googling experience, I shall be sure to put a warning.
Happy new year, fellow Essex Girl!
